Livestock Guardian Dogs play a critical role to protect livestock from predators. In central Florida, we have Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Racoons, and occasionally wild dogs and smaller predators. We decide on the Anatolian Shepherd as the LGD of choice for our farm. Anatolians descend from some of the oldest known domestic-canine bloodlines that go back over 6,000 years to the Bronze Age. Anatolians are smart, devoted and will protect their herd and owners with intensity.
Bruno came to us from Sunny Gale Farms in Greenville, FL and was born and raised around goats. Bruno is as affectionate as he is fierce and is currently guarding our does and kids. Bruno is Anatolian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees mix.
Turk and Lainer (below) came to us from a farm in East Florida that was impacted by Hurricane Ian. Unfortunately, the owner had to rehome the dogs and we were fortunate enough to add them to our farm. Turk is a dominate male but also extremely well trained and well behaved. Turk is an Anatolian Shepherd.
Lainer and Turk (above) came to us from a farm in East Florida that was impacted by Hurricane Ian. Unfortunately, the owner had to rehome the dogs and we were fortunate enough to add them to our farm.
