Livestock Guardian Dogs play a critical role to protect livestock from predators. In central Florida, we have Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Racoons, and occasionally wild dogs and smaller predators. We decide on the Anatolian Shepherd as the LGD of choice for our farm. Anatolians descend from some of the oldest known domestic-canine bloodlines that go back over 6,000 years to the Bronze Age. Anatolians are smart, devoted and will protect their herd and owners with intensity.
Bruno came to us from Sunny Gale Farms in Greenville, FL and was born and raised around goats. He is shown here as a puppy but is quickly growing into a very large dog. Bruno is Anatolian Shepherd / Great Pyranees mix.
